 IRSE Sections around the world

We have IRSE Sections in all the following countries to enable members to meet together, hold events, give technical presentations and share their knowledge.

  • Australasia (includes Australia and New Zealand)
  • China
  • France
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Ireland (covers north and south Ireland)
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • Netherlands
  • North America (includes USA, Canada and Mexico
  • Singapore
  • Southern Africa (includes South Africa and neighbouring countries)
  • Switzerland
  • Thailand
  • United Kingdom (6 geographical sections)

Members are free to join any Local Section or none (or more than one), although normally we would expect you to join the one that covers the geographical area in which you live/work.  To join a Local Section, please contact the relevant Local Section Secretary.

NOTE: It is a requirement of all Local Sections that to be a member of a Local Section you must first become a member of the IRSE (see "membership" tab).

Click on the links to the left to view contact details for each of these Sections.

Younger Members

The Younger Members also hold meetings, conferences and technical visits aimed specifically at engineers in the early stages of their training and development. Membership is automatic for all members of the Institution up to the age of 35.
